Hey, I just had to post and comment on what you`ve been saying - I am totally with you honey! I am British but I live in Japan (Tokyo) and my daughter has just started kindergarten (which is like pre-school, they start at age 3 here). Feeling like you are not fitting in???! Kindergarten moms have something of a reputation here, which I heard about before we entered. There`s even a TV drama about them! But I figured really, how bad can it be? Well, it`s bad. In this case I have no problem lowering myself to their level, so I call them "Mothers of the Corn" - it used to be Mommy Mafia but that is just not strong enough. And since my last post I have had it confirmed by one of my loser club friends that she has indeed heard rumours in the park that I was a former dancer who married one of her customers (ha! I WISH!) So next time we have an earthquake drill in the schoolyard I am absolutely going to grab one of the climbing frame poles and have a good swing on it! Fuel for the fire, as it were! God forbid they should ever find out the truth about my past - that I used to be a....dare I say it......IT

Think of the public service you're performing, giving those ladies something to enliven their days.
