I have a medical bill from a procedure my son had in April. Our "co-insurance" was $270. I tried to get out of paying it with the hospital by questioning the charges, and worked with a nice patient accounting person who was good about looking into it and working with me.
In the end, she determined that I was responsible, and so she asked me if I wanted to set up a payment plan. I said yes, and she said how much can you send? I was floored that it was so easy, and said I would send $50 a month.
So I've paid three months already and I keep getting invoices that show the balance going down, but say things like "please make arrangements ASAP."
The last one, received on Friday,

keep trying to call her If she isn't in today then ask someone else to check on your account then call back tomorrow or whenever you can talk to her. Somewhere they should have the arrangements on your account.
Sometimes those computer notices come out with stuff on them that don't take into account the arrangements
Just call and make sure everything is in order.

I agree with Mary Ann - keep trying to call her, but chances are that it's an automated notice and you are fine.
