So Frustrated & angry

LONG story short here. Last paycheck I got shorted 6 hours of pay. I was told to add those hours to my next pay period. I did so. NOW, I check my paystub (I can check it today but it gets direct deposited tomorrow) and it is SHORT 16 hours. What the hell. I pitched a fit and the HR department is "looking" into it. I told them they need to FIX it and cut me a check immediately. I can't afford to be short in my check again.

To make matters worse my DH is just shopping like a madman. Ok, not that bad but he is shopping like we just got paid. Spent $100 at Sams (diapers, clorox wipes which I told him to get and some impulse buys - mini corndogs and chef boy r dee) and Target (plush batman pillow for ds's b-day in a week) and I told him to STOP shopping b/c my check was short and I don't know WHEN the company will fix it.

I'm just frustrated. Seems like as soon as I get a few hundred in savings something happens. I worry I'm going to pull from savings and not put money BACK into it. That's what always happens.

I feel like crying. I'm still waiting for HR to call me back.

Go in and write yourself a check for the money you intend to borrow out of saving. Then make a deposit slip for the date you think the company will correct the mistake put it in an envelope and sit it on your desk or where ever you put important things to do at.

That way you got no excuse not to put the money back into your saving.

Just an idea

It is so frustrating when you don't get properly. Last time this happened to me we weren't getting our payslips ahead of time, so by the time I knew that I had money missing from my pay it was too late to stop direct debits. This happened two or three times over a period of about 3 months. When I started threatening to stick my employer with any dishonor fees that resulted from being shortpaided the situation was fixed and I've never had a problem since.

When this happens do NOT ever let them add it to your next paycheck.
