Well, the Green Eyed Monster needs to stay at bay, because DH and I just made a huge decision.

Congrats on the big decision! It sounds like DH is a great man who is willing to put in extra work to make sure that you're health stays on track. I am sure the kids will love having you there.

You are correct! Your profession is in such high demand at the moment you would have no problems finding a job if you want to go back!

Good luck!

Congratulations! You are so going to enjoy the rewards of being there with your kids, and the stress will be soooooo much less!

One of the reasons we got into so much debt was because we wanted to make sure there was a parent at home with the kids. In our case, it was DH who did it. It is hard work and not much fun a lot of the time, but he is proud that he has raised our kids and that someone was always there for them. Despite the debt we incurred over several years, I would not have done it any differently.

Congrats! I was a SAHM for almost 10 years and LOVED it! It's a very rewarding job. We don't own a lot of the "extras" in life because we chose for me to stay home for so many years.

I am back in the workforce now and actually quit my job of almost 3 years to go to a different job. I make slightly less an hour at the new job, BUT it is 5 mins from my house (vs the 20 I was driving) AND they will make it so I am home with my kids more. It's worth it.

Good luck I have always well at least for the last 35 years a stay at home Homemaker.

I always found I could make as much for my family in money by staying at home then I could by going out to work. For one thing tell your husband to up his dependents by one. Taxes are cheaper when one is staying at home. I always did a lot of couponing and rebating Rebating is not a big thing anymore like it used to be. But I did pretty good. You could always find an old couple to help a couple of hours a day a couple days a week if you really need the money sometimes.

I would buy stuff at Good will cheap then sell it in yard sales and consignment stores this was before ebay for a higher price made a few bucks that way.

Oooh, talking green-eyed!

I work 16 hours a week (supposedly 16!) as a visiting nurse.
