I have been have a HORRIBLE time finding an apartment since I filed Chapter 13. I had decided to let my house go because it's an ARM and with my horrible credit I figured no one would refinance me into a fixed. So I pretty much had resolved myself that I would live in an apartment for the next 4-5 years while I got back on my feet. I had no idea how wrong I was.

Thank you all so much for your responses. I found a townhouse that is owned by a private owner but managed by a Realty company. The company rejected my applicate ::rolling eyes:: but the owner said that she wants to rent to me. How much 'veto' power does she have? I mean it is HER property right?

What is so ironic is I found TWO places that would rent to me in spite of the BK and those are much NICER and more expensive properties!! The ones that are turning me down are what I consider mediocre at best properties. Go figure...

Thanks again and I'll keep you posted!

The relationship of the management company is this: they work for the property owner and if the property
