Since DH has chronic medical problems, he spends a lot of time in his recliner.

DH and I had a lazyboy reclining sofa and reclining chair and a half for many years - both were very comfortable.

Do you want to buy new? If you are considering second hand you might check out Freecycle and the papers etc because with this economy people are going to be selling whatever they can to raise money for Christmas.

I personally get furniture from Ikea. I love that place. I did spend many years with a Laz-y-boy recliner and it was very durable and sturdy. I do seem to recall it did take a fair bit of effort to close it up.

Thanks to both of you, Danni and Rebecca, for the advice and comments.

As odd as this seems typing on a debt board...

If money is no object....

Do you have a Relax the Back store that is near you or relatively near you?

Let me rephrase..."money is no object as long as it's not more than a thousand bucks and lasts at least 5 years."

My inlaws have a soft, squishy, deep and mucho comfy recliner they got from Lazy-Boy. I would definitely recommend them. :0) They have very high quality furniture.
