Gosh!!!!

This morning i checked our account online. We are in the red. I hate post dating checks. We are in the Reduced Payment Plan on all our credit cards. Reason why we don't have any to use. We are on cash only basis. Well....they want post dated checks. This friday when my husband got paid, I had forgotten to write one of the credit cards in the checkbook registar. Guess what????? After paying bills. taking out $85 for my Yorkie's further needed bloodwork for tomorrow, one of the checks for the credit cards posted.

I've been telling my husband that we just can't afford to pay on the credit cards anymore.

What a financial mess? So upset.

Thanks for reading and letting me vent.

I don't know much about post dating checks. What's that about? (not judging - just asking a serious question.) Why would you post date a check and not wait for the money to be in the account?

I am sorry you are in the Red. That hurts. Hugs to you.

Credit card companies want post dated checks. I always make sure that I give them a paydate (so money is there). On that day, they take it out. Well....I forgot to write it down that on that payday, a particular credit card company is being paid.

I WILL NEVER post date check for payment without money being in the account. That the reason why I give them a pay day. I just forgot to write this one down and money was used to pay something else.

Thanks for explaining. I have two c/c's and have never had to post-date a check. Interesting.

I am sorry you are struggling. We've all had those weeks. Chin up!

You are under no obligation to postdate a check, and your bank

So sorry to hear of the troubles. It stinks being in the red, but now you know and will probably not make that mistake again!

Chin up!!! It will get better!

Do you have anything in savings? If you don't try to get at least a month Credit Card payments into your checking account ahead.
