Yippeeeeee!!!!! I was asked to do a small group tutorial this week for two hours a week at the rate of $42 an hour. This gig should last until April when state testing is complete. I am doing a major happy dance!!! I don't post much but I pretty much read daily. I'm sorry that I don't post that often and I promise that I will try to do better but I want you all to know that I draw so much support from your stories. I hate that we are all in this same boat but it makes it a little easier to know that there are others out there like me. My husband is self-employed in construction and his business has really slowed down so this opportunity couldn't have come at a better time.

Congrats Kim on the extra income! Do you have a specific plan for it (snowflake for debt or savings), or will it be a part of your monthly household budget?

I will be snowballing it!!! I want out of debt ASAP. I thought about using it for Christmas money for the first couple of months but then I thought NO, I will stick to the original Christmas budget. I usually teach summer school and use the extra money to fund a vacation. I don't know if I can do that this year. I have dug my heels in and am trying with all of my might to get us out of debt. Now, if I could only get my husband on board. He came in this morning and I was listening to a Dave Ramsey show on the web. He couldn't run from the room fast enough. My usual Saturday morning routine is to listen via my laptop as I clean so I can move from room to room and get my motivation up.
