Does anyone have a specific goal in mind for the end of the year regarding your finances?

As things stand now, I think I'm going to end the year owing $25k plus a few hundred.

My end of the year goal is to have less than $5,000 in credit card debt. I think that should be doable. I want to have all CC debt completely paid off by Spring Break 2009. I tend to align my goals more with the school year than the calendar year. I will still have quite a bit of debt but it keeps my motivation up to set these mini-goals. Do you all include your mortgage in your debt totals?

Dh and I have had some expenses come up lately that are currently sitting on our cc's.

All my best,

Most of us do not include a mortgage in our debt totals, unless that is the specific debt you are trying to pay off.

My goal would be to put another 200 in my EF (maybe more), not to use the cc's at all. And to keep my DH from looking at trucks.

My hope is to have my debt be $35K or less by the end of the year in spite of moving costs.
So far I'm still a couple grand under that but it'll be a fight to keep the total from climbing.

I would just like to have all my financial paperwork in order....I've been slacking on it for months and I want to get it all organized so that everything is in order for preparing my 2008 tax return. This will include having all my medical receipts sorted and labelled so it's not confusing (I had a heck of a time this spring with my 2007 return). My job is full time paperwork and I just never want to look at my own stuff when I come home.
