I started my p/t job last Sunday. I wish I could put more hours, but I can not. I can only work on Saturdays and Sundays, when my husband can stay home with the kids.

Today...I didn't work. We drove two hours to an animal hospital to have an ultrasound done by a Board Certified Radiologist. My precious Yorkie, does have a liver shunt. The good news is that her case isn't bad. She is still healthy. She could fully be cured with surgery. The bad news....the surgery cost approximately $2,500 - $3,500. We just don't have the money. I'm hoping with my part-time job and whatever we could save, we could have this life saving surgery by summertime.

In the meantime....she is loving her low protein diet. Her vet is in on tuesday, I will call and stop by to give her the results of today's ultrasound. And take it from there. I also want to speak with someone at the hospital (where the surgery will be done) to find out how payment plans are handled.

I'm so relieved to find out that her case is not fatal.

Thank you everyone for your support and prayers and positive thoughts. Please continue praying, hoping, and sending positive thoughts that somehow we can get this money for her surgery.

(((HUGS))) I am so glad to hear that the condition isn't fatal, but sorry to hear its so expensive :( Hopefully it will be on the $2500 side of things and they have an awesome payment plan!!

Good luck!
