Hello there lilbig!

1. If you could not buy holiday gifts this year, who do you think would be the most disappointed and why?

*Oh the kids would be disappointed. And I would feel guilty. Thankfully they will be just fine this year!

2. Are you decorating for the holidays this year? What is your most favorite decoration?

*Oh yes, must decorate! Ummm I love a real Christmas tree--I think it is the smell.

3. How do you keep track of your debt total? How do you keep track of your debts and
regular bills?

*Debt total is easy to track--I have one loan and I can see it online everyday. I set up an online transfer at the beginning of the month from one account to the loan account. I can put extra on it whenever I want. Regular bills. I have an excel spreadsheet set up with the dates of everything that is due(budget). I pretty much pay the bills as they come in and certain things come out of my checking monthly at the same time. I am trying this new thing where I have a separate spreadsheet for the bills that do not get paid monthly. This way the lump sum in the savings is broken into categories instead of just looking like a lump sum. I put that money from my budget into my savings account then pull it out into the checking when I need to make those payments. I will see how this works for me.

1. If you could not buy holiday gifts this year, who do you think would be the most disappointed and why?

I would because there's nothing I love more than watching my kids unwrap their presents. Besides that, we would have to admit to everyone else how broke we are. I've gotten creative this year, so the holidays won't be much different than normal, but I'm spending a lot less than usual.

My 3 year old might be disappointed, but we have enough toys still in the package that I would wrap some of them up so the kids would get something (I'll probably be doing that anyway). I wouldn't tell her that we didn't have money for gifts and she probably wouldn't notice.

2. Are you decorating for the holidays this year? What is your most favorite decoration?

Yes. We get a tree every year. it might be smaller this year. We don't do much other decorating.

3. How do you keep track of your debt total? How do you keep track of your debts and regular bills?

I have a spreadsheet with all of my balances. Which reminds me, it's December 1 so I need to update it. My regular bills are in Quicken, but most of them are also set up in my online Bill Pay.

1. If you could not buy holiday gifts this year, who do you think would be the most disappointed and why?

I would probably be the disappointed. But I like to make gifts so if I couldn't buy gifts I would have to just get my creativity working and make some gifts from whatever I have in my sewing/craft corner.

2. Are you decorating for the holidays this year? What is your most favorite decoration?
We just put up more lights outside, inside decor tends to change year to year, depending on who helps me go through boxes.

3. How do you keep track of your debt total? How do you keep track of your debts and regular bills?
Unfortunately so far my debt tracking is pretty bad. but is getting better, I have simply accounting that I hope to get on my computer and get my act together in the new year.

Thanks for thinking about these questions and possibly sharing answers!

Happy December! Littlesbigs
