I thought it would be fun to hear everyone's financial wish or wishes for 2009.

Let's see.....

1. Pay off last credit card!

2. Build up savings #1 back to $1000.

3. Build up savings #2 up to 6 months of monthly expenses (although this morning I heard on tv it needs to be 8 months)

4. A non-debt goal would be to slow down and enjoy things more. Lately it seems all I do is work and pay bills.

Oh wishes are fun.....

-Get my efund fully funded--doable
-pay off my entire loan--doable but not likely, that is VERY optomistic
-buy the car we are saving for(upgrade, my bf gets a great deal within one year of graduating)--doable
-start saving for a new house-doable in November 2009
-have a very busy year for my business--I do not know, times are tough
-stay below my credit line limit(business)--I have no idea, probably not in Jan and Feb
-go on a small weekend trip with my bf--doable(saving in the can on the dresser)
-hope nothing blows up, or crashes down around me--it is possible!!

Build and KEEP $1K in our EFund. (right now we have $800.)

Save and pay CASH for a trip to Boston for a friends wedding in April. Working a second job to do this.

Put at least $10K on c/c's in 2009. We are hoping for a solid $8K tax return which will cut out one entire c/c. That leaves us with the BIG one which is now at $18,900. Looks hefty but knowing we have ONE to tackle will be an incentive. Plus, my DH will hopefully get his retro check from work since his union hasn't signed a contract in over 2 years. He is looking at two years of backpay. When that check comes all of it goes to the c/c.

Stimulus check - not holding out for it this year. If it comes - goes to the c/c.

If nothing else - DON'T GO FURTHER INTO DEBT IN 2009.
