How many of us are about to set a goal to get out of debt? Or set a goal on the way to get out of debt?

I am not sure which I am going to do because I do not want to overwhelm myself.

I'm going to spend 2009 working on paying off some of the back debt we have from when dh was laid off. We've FINALLY gotten completely caught up on a lot of our bills, but we do still have some larger ones that we need to get taken care of. That is my goal for 2009.

I find looking at the debt in 500.00 steps is best for me

I would like to start 2009 with 17,999,00

I could live with that. I am only about 650.00 a way

My debt is small compared to that...not counting my student loan, which somehow I am not worried about...I am thinking that I am going to pay off 2 cards before May and reevaluate after that.

My main goal is to get back on track with my weight loss.

My goals are in my siggy. First the EF (although I'll still snowflake debt while that's building because I'm using "hidden" money to fund it), then as much debt reduction as possible. The city gave us a thumbs up on the general idea of our building plan (the next step is to invest in blueprints) so I'm going gangbusters on this debt. I can't WAIT to build the house in 2010!
