A woman I know lost her husband to cancer this month. With four young kids, she's battled to maintain her upbeat look on life, regardless of her situation. Her determination, despite where her life is right now, inspires me.
When I look at all the things I have to be thankful for: my DH, my home, my job, my family and especially my amazing, amazing kids -- debt seems a little less daunting.
Is it a pain? Yes.
Do I regret some dumb decisions in the past? Yes.
Does it drive me crazy sometimes? Yes.
Will I prevail? YES.
This holiday season, I urge you to hug and love the most important "things" in your life -- the people. In the end, to me, they are all that really matters.
Hugs to all!

I love this upbeat & optimistic post.
I second that.
My ex husband's brother lost his home to a devastating fire Tuesday night.
I agree with you.
Thanks for the reminder.

This is SO HARD for me...I have to remember that in the midst of my financial nightmare at least my husband has a job so we can pay our bills...at least we have health insurance and even though our mortgage is really hard to pay sometimes, at least we have a home. I'm a religious person and last night I realized that I am keeping all of this stress bottled up. Why am I keeping it to myself. I know none of my friends or family wants to hear it, but God wants to hear it. He has enough room to hold my problems for awhile. My mother is always telling me to count my blessings...she says it will put things in perspective so here goes:
1. a home (even though we almost lost it)
2. a car (even though we almost lost it as well)
3. my husbands job
4. My job
5. Our benefits
6. 3 Beautiful boys
7. Food
That's all I can do at the moment.
