Hopefully they will do something similar in Canada. It may make it a bit harder for you to get a credit card, but if it was a bit harder to get a credit card maybe I wouldn't be sitting here with 7 major credit cards and a couple of department store ones. Although 4 of the cards have a 0 balance. Our biggest debt is 4 lines of credit (2 different banks) and our mortgage. Unfortunately the lines of credit may be with us for awhile, as they are at about 250k currently. We really have to do some budget cutting and belt tightening to chip away at it in 2009. But with reading this list and the support everyone has on here I'm sure that I too will one day be debt-free.
