I'm 22 years old. I didn't have ANY credit until i got a loan for a car.. paid on it for about a year and a half... i was 2 payments behind.... and working 2 paper routes.. so as i walked out my door to go to work around 2 a.m. i walked out just in time to watch the repo-man pull my car out of its cozy spot... so needless to say it was repoed. I think i only owed a remain 1300.. not positive at this time.

also in november 2006 i got sick. i was in and out of the hospital. emergency room and etc. I have my GB removed, and still got sick a lot. I've gotten it under control. but i honestly think my medical bills are need $60,000 if not more....

i'm working now. not a great job but i'd like to at least start figuring out how to get out from under this. My boyfriend of 5 years and I will most likely be getting married in the next few months (he's going into the army) and we'd really like to get a grasp on my debt so we know what we're looking at.

WHERE DO I START. i know i have to collect all my bills from the hospitals... then what should i do..

any help would be soooo appreciated.

Welcome to the board. I can understand how fast those hospital bills can go up One night my mom was in the hospital and came away with a 50,000 bill. So I totally understand.

What you might want to do is call the hospital Ask them to let you talk to a Social worker that deals with people who are not working and have a bill there.

Several times I have had hospital bills to pay and the hospital worked with me on payments that I could afford They also informed me of different programs that they had for people with no money Such as forgiveble grants from the government.

So my advice to you is call the hospital and ask for the billing department first then have
