Twas the day before Christmas
| Wed, 12-24-2008 - 1:52am |
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
not a pet was stirring, not even the mouse.
The filled stockings were hung from the mantle with care,
in hopes that Old St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of Wii and IPod danced in their heads.
And Mama in her 'Victoria Secret nightie", and I in my silk boxers,
had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap
When up on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from our bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
rolled up the blinds, and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Love it, Maryann! This brought a big smile and chuckle on this wintry morning.
Merry Christmas to you too.
