Who's cleaning their house today?

I tried to make it so that on Christmas Eve I wouldn't be cleaning my house, but here I am , cleaning. No matter how many times I tell my family "Please pick up after yourselves so I don't have to during the holidays!" I might as well be the Charlie Brown teacher...wah wah wah!

Here's all the errands I have to do today. I'm taking a break here to keep my sanity (I have the kids with rags wiping the walls while I type this ;P )

I still need to clean:

The bathroom (why do kids drip toothpaste everywhere?)

My desk (a total disaster)

the front closet (If I want to stick anymore coats in there)

I need to cook:

A cheesecake

A fruit, vegetable, cheese and cracker, sandwich meat and condiments platter and dip

I'm sitting at my desk at work! At least you are at home!!! LOL.

We work until 2 o'clock. THEN I have to go to the store to get more kleenex and theraflu. I have lyrangitis and a terrible cold. THEN I have to go home, clean up after my kids and DH and get stuff ready for my IL's to come over at 4. Good times!

Merry Holidays to you! I hope you get it all done and save me some cheesecake.

Abbie, you need Flylady!

Not today, but after Christmas, go to flylady.com and see what it's all about. I've been flying for about 6 or 7 years now, and it is great. Yes, I have a cleaning lady come once a week, and she's awesome, but the "FLY attitude" is what makes my life so much better!

I do know about the flylady. I have her book and I try to do as much of her system as I can. This morning I was doing my morning routine actually. I just have so many areas that haven't been organized yet...like my desk. I'm taking small steps until my house is clean everyday. My problems revolve around tiny tiny spaces and multiple children and a husband. I live in an 800 square foot apartment and with 3 boys, it doesn't matter how many 5 minute clean-ups I do, it gets messy 5 minutes later it seems. I'm not a clutter person either. I donated 2 bags of clothing this morning!

But yes - I do know about the flylady and I love her! I just haven't gotten all my routines down yet.

AHHHH...Norma! I did get my car back...70 dollars cash! But then I went to Wal-mart today and locked my keys in the car! I can't win! I bought a hanger and some spatula things to keep the door open so I could stick the hanger in. A nice man came over and was finally able to click the unlock button.

I was absolutely not paying for a locksmith to come out! I would have walked home and waited for my husband before I payed 50 bucks!

Man, we must've been seperated at birth. Paying for some repair on my car then turning around and locking myself out of it is CLASSIC around here. Or how about this: taking my minivan in for some repair (which wasn't done right to begin with) dropping it off and having dh wait for me in his car (older '94 but we just sold it) w/ my 3yr old and he turns off the ignition to move the car seat and guess what? Yep--wouldn't start. Luckily, it was the dealership's late night's and I went in and got them to jump it for me. Such is my life.

What is Boxing Day? I've heard of it, but I have no idea how you celebrate it up there in Canada?
