after you pay bills?

Do you have a fairly negative or positive personality about it?

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT estatic about my debt by any means but after I pay bills I feel accomplished and proud somehow. My DH got paid early this week (b/c his payday would normally fall on xmas day) so I paid bills last night. I paid everything we had laid out. Mortgage, my car payment, water bill, 1/2 of the ob/gyn bill, $40 to the pediatrition, c/c. When I was done my DH was just sitting there grumbling about us having no money.

I thought we did pretty good! LOL. We have about $800 until next payday and that's for gas/groceries/diapers or whatever comes up. We have groceries so I really don't need to do a big shop - probably just a milk/bread run.

Anyway, I pay the bills b/c my DH is so negative about it. He used to pay the bills and be miserable for DAYS. I couldn't stand that. I just am pleased that we could pay all we did.

Just wondering how others were.

I was always happy if I had money to pay everything. ;) It was the sitting down and writing checks that got to me. I hated the ACT of writing checks.

Now I have everything automatically debited, so I really don't pay bills, and I'm much happier knowing that everything is happening as it's supposed to. I get paid once a month, and everything gets taken out once a month. I've been doing this for years and never once had a problem with it. I recommend it to everyone!

I enjoy paying my bills because I get a sense of relief that it is done and I can then forget it for a week.

I have a great deal of apprehension about paying bills these days. I have the money; but, I just hate the process of writing checks for some and getting online for others. I need to simplify my system and rework my budget. One of my goals over the next week is to rework my budget, paying special attention to due dates. Pay dates are always the same.

Anyway, I do love having the money to pay bills. I remember well a time when that was a monthly struggle.

Well Christmas is over and I am waiting for dinner to finish cooking So I came in here to do email and as always my computer found the board. And I saw your posting. You guys are doing great to have 400.00 a week to live on after bills. Pat yourself on the back.

I honestly haven't given much thought to how I feel after I pay the bills.

I feel relieved that I have money to pay everything, but I also hate that I get paid and then almost all of the money goes right back out to bills.

Generally I feel pretty good about paying the bills. I have all my bills budgeted so I know I will never miss a payment. When I put money on the CC I feel GREAT because it means the total is coming down!! Sadly, not as fast as I would like, lol.

I always feel good after I pay the bills and see the balances go down.
