Oldtimers - Monday Accountability thread
| Fri, 01-02-2009 - 3:09pm |
We are getting great questions from new members and since I've been here so long, some of it is just so ingrained I don't even know how to explain it well.

I don't always participate in the Monday Accountability thread, but I think I'd hold myself more accountable if I did. It's one of the things I hope to do in 2009.
What it means to me is: how accountable was I in the past week? Did I stick to my budget? Did I avoid shopping temptation? Did I seek out good deals at the grocery store? Did I find some snowflakes?, etc. Or did I go out and blow my budget Saturday night? Of course, unexpected things come up too and that's where we bare all, such as car repairs, the furnace died, all that good stuff.

I have always viewed the thread as a touchstone of sorts.

So keep it up.

Dear Becky,
I always read the accountability thread although I don't usually post to it.....well, I have my own way of posting here, so I think it could be redundant for me.
The accountability thread to me has been a place for folks to post weekly their thoughts, concerns, and stories (of "the good, the bad, and the ugly") from the prior week and to express their hopes and plans for the next week.
I like your taste!
