You get one per agency per 12 months, so you could get a free one every 4 months if you spread them out, ie Equifax in Jan, Transunion in May, Experion in Sept, then back to Equifax in Jan. I know Equifax gives you the option of paying for your credit score and I'd be surprised if the others didn't do the same.
The reports for all three agencies are very unlikely to be the same, but it still gives you a good idea if you keep an eye on it and want to do so for free.
