My DH hours were cut back, and in three months he might be laid off. It sure changes our goal for next year by this time

Hi,

I am sorry to hear of your dilemma. Since I am still learning the ropes of finances, I do not have any suggestions. However, just wanted to tell you that my thoughts are with you. One thing that I know from experience is that things will work out - they always do. Not always how we had originally planned but a higher force works to ease things out.
Hugs to you.

I am so sorry to hear this but also I am encouraged. Your last statement is right on the mark. God never leaves us.

I will left you in prayer that wisdom and strength grows for you and DH.

So sorry to hear of this. You seem to be making all the right choices and moving in action swiftly. I hope things turn around for you asap!

The one thing I've realized in my financial journey and the thing that has kept me going is that things constantly change. I've noticed that each year I'm in a new place. That place may not necessarily be a better place, but then I just keep on reminding myself that this constant change is going to eventually bring me to the place where I want to be as long as I keep on working at it. I have had so many changes in my life and I always tell myself that next year at this same time, everything will be different. Things might not be better but I won't be dealing with the same issues I'm dealing with now and I try to take one day at a time. Just keep working, just keep working. Life may go through some difficult patches but things will get better. Also, some of the best changes in my life have been made because of struggle and hardship. I wouldn't be where I am today without having to change out of sheer desperation and neither would my husband. Both of our current jobs came about out of desperation. I hope your husband doesn't lose his job. You are doing everything you can and try to keep your spirits up. These are such crazy times.

A lot of times things really DO get better but its easy to slip into the trap of ONLY looking at one factor! Years ago when I had broken leg and was laid up for almost 6 months, I was getting really frustrated because it took so very long to improve.

I'm sorry you're going thru this. I'm still nervous, too, with my job possibly being in danger.

At least you have some backup plans - that's great that you know
