I have a Citicard, and my interest rate keeps going down. I am not too worried about it. I think if you are a good customer (pay on time, etc.) they will try to keep everything down because they don't want to lose the business.

No it is life of the loan and at one time it was around 9,000 so I have had it a long time.

I would never do one of the 6 months or a year thing. That is away to get caught.

Thanks for your posting

Now that I think of it. I had gotten a letter from Citi, stating that my account is being turned over to Bank of America. So maybe your account will be sold to another bank? Hopefully, Bank of America will continue with my low interest rate. This Citicard is my highest credit limit and of course the most owed, so I don't know if I am going to keep it or close it. The switch over is taking place in March.

I had not heard that Citi was being bought by BOA. We have two Citi cards. One would not be difficult to pay off, if I targeted it for a couple months. The other is my highest APR and I'd have to target that one for 7 months to pay it off. I could transfer it to Chase, though, if it came to that. All of my dealings with BOA have been terrible. I can't imagine having a card with them.
