Someone posted a link to it the other day so I signed up for it. It's coming up with a credit score of 649 for me - not great, but it could be worse. Anyway, it has a credit simulator so you can see how different actions will affect your score. The thing I don't understand is why my score would drop when I select on time payments. You can pick the amount of time for 3 months to 24 months. No matter what I select it drops my score to 636. If I select pay of $1000 of debt it increases it to 657, but if I also select anything in on time payments it drops back to 636. If I select pay of $5000 of debt it increases my score to 671, but if I add on time payments it drops it to 645.
I know paying on time is important for a good credit score, so why would I be getting this result? Is it just a glitch in the software? Just curious.
