Feeling down today

Hi everyone,
Just thought I would post this here because no one else IRL seems to get it. I have been feeling so down the past few days. Today is payday and I *thought* I would have an extra $70 to split between EF and debt. Well I realized that I forgot to include house insurance ($30). Okay, so no worries, I have that covered. Then I find out that the shirts that the team wanted for dodgeball are $25!!! I have to pay it because its custom made! The last time we had shirts made they were about $5. So now I have $15 left. Well wouldn't you know the power cord on my laptop died. BF found another one on ebay for . . . you guessed it . . . $15! So now I am budgeted to the penny! I guess the only positive is that NOTHING has gone on my CC (BF paid for the cord on his and I am giving him the money today)
We are going home this weekend. It shouldn't cost too much (we are splitting gas between 4 of us, with mine coming from the gas cards

You know we "get it" here, especially the endless demands on your money when it's all already spoken for. I'll bet other people IRL would get it too, if they weren't too embarrassed to talk about money. My oldest friend and I have always been honest about money with each other. It helps so much to have friends who can empathize with your situation.
And on the gaining 10 lbs, I can empathize with that too. My sisters are overweight by 40-50 lbs each, so gaining 10 lbs in my mid-40s is not something I'm going to get any sympathy for, but it's the difference between feeling comfortable in my clothes and feeling like I have a vise around my waist.
Hang in there, Bex, things will get better!

Hugs to you!
I am sorry you are feeling low. When money is tight for us we buy cheap foods which usually equals "unhealthy" foods which causes me to gain a few pounds here and there. When money is better we eat better and healthier. It's a bad cycle.
I am sorry you are so tight this month. Sometimes it hurts to see your EF / c/c extra money just flitter away. BUT, be thankful that you didn't have to use the c/c this time. That's a big step in and of itself.
Oh Girl.......put me on the 10lb band wangon. I am not over weight either, but I would be if I gained another on top of the 10lbs I have already gained over the last few months. I have been so stressed. And I know what you mean about things popping up in the expense category....they are so stupid and get me down too. Chin up. Maybe next month will be better. Good luck!
Thank you all for your kind words. You are correct, just having people here that I can "vent" to makes all the difference in the world.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one having these issues (although I'm not glad that others are going through this if that makes sense). I've decided that since I am limited in what I can do in terms of food (namely budget limitations) I will have to pick up the exercise. My goal is to do 3.5 hours of high intensity cardio a week plus some weights. Having a goal in terms of hours works because if I do one step class its an hour so if I don't get to it one day, I'm still covered.
Thanks again ladies. Good luck to all of you in meeting your goals!!!

To Bex and the other ladies.
I know exactly how you all feel. I was always a fat kid and a foot taller then the other kids in my class. When I got married I had lost a few pounds was down to 160 that was a fighting weight for me. In three months, I had gained over 35 lbs and looking back it was worry, snacking and terrible cheap food that put
Once again sage advice from our wise Mary Ann.
Bex,
Hang in there; the feelings will soon pass and I think you're doing a great job.
