Murphy's Law???? Doesn't it figure as I am trying to start paying some of this debt down, my washer machine goes!!! It isn't even rinsing the clothes! I am soooo disgusted. My husband is going to try to fix it, but if he can't I will have to buy a new one. I just started building my e-fund, and I just finished Dave Ramseys book where he talked about Murphys Law. Well it definately got me. UGH!

Dave has something to say about everything that is where he and I are alike. I needed a washer but I just bought one at an estate sale It is only a couple of years old works great and was a fraction of what a new one would cost.

I can relate - this week our kids' car battery died. And we used it this weekend, here their tires are so bad the car shakes, so we need to replace those as well.
They never tell us anything is wrong, just drive it!

They need the car for school, sports, volunteering and jobs. We told them we own it and we bought it for $2500 very used. They have learned about fixing flats, dead batteries, and other stuff from having an old car as opposed to something new.

We are hoping to get through the next two weeks with no emergencies.

I know, doesn't it seem like just when you get up on the horse something knocks you flat on your back? Just keep on doing it. Eventually you will get some traction and move your way through the steps. It just takes some persistance and time. The washer? I had that happen to us a couple years ago and got one over the internet. I got a good deal doing it that way and I bet you can get even better deals now with the way the economy has gone down. Just make sure they deliver AND install it (unless you feel comfortable trying to get it inside the house and hooked up! We didn't think about that and let's just say it was very interesting:) )

Hang in there, eventually it will get easier.

This exact thing happened to me in September, only at the time I didn't have an efund. If I did, I could have gotten a washer for super cheap (people are selling them on Kijiji all the time for $50-100) but since I didn't have the cash, I had to buy one new and put it on the CC :(

If you have any money in your efund, take it to buy something used. It should tide you over for
