question on credit cards????????

about a month ago I said that I was going to have to let our cards go because my husbands job cut his hours and we couldn't make the payments. I hate to talk to these people over the phone because they never listen so, I wrote a letter to them, and was just wondering if this sounds ok to send to them

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that I am currently having some
money problems. I am not able to make any payment as a result of
hours being drastically cut. As soon as my finances recover I will get back with you and work out an arrangement. Thanks

Is there ANY way you can offer ANY payment to them over nothing? I know it might mean cutting $10 even out of your food budget or something but I think offering them nothing is just not good.

Hugs to you - I'm sure this is difficult to do in any regard. Just wondering if you could manage some small amount to perhaps get them to listen a little.

Again - grappling at straws here.

Anyway you can offer to do dog walking or house sitting in your neighborhood? ANYTHING to make extra $$ to send them?

I don't know your exact situation just trying to be helpful.

I appricate all the ideals, we live out in the country, and the towns around us are very small people don't pay to walk their dogs or house sit.
My dh job is in the gas rigs, right now their just cutting his hours, they have laid off a bunch of the other workers.
We're just trying to get prepared for it by paying more on the most important bills
when the job picks up I'll make arrangements with the credit cards to pay payments or settle with them
I just thought that instead of igorning them, to send letters telling them what is happening.

I'm sorry, but you will NOT receive a favorable response to your proposed note.

Can you imagine receiving such a letter from someone who owes you money?

How is your job going? Can you get any extra hours or take on a second job yourself since his hours are cut back?

I work one 40 hour job and I also work one night a week on a second job as well. My husband works his job and tries to get his business going in his spare time.

What can you both do? Brainstorm, I assure you, it will make you stronger and you made the debt, no one else did it for you.

YOU CAN do this!!!!
