I chose everything, but mainly because I have been cutting back a little bit in each category. Probably the biggest hits would be food and clothes

I might have picked everything, but I have not cut back on some things.

Housing - we moved from 3200 sq ft to 1600 and less than half the house payment

Food - we are spending more, but kids are getting bigger too, but not that much more, and we are eating better fooods, so we are reallocating here.

When we were working on eliminating our debt, we probably cut back on everything. We have been out of debt (except for the mortgage and cars) for about 10 months now. This year, though, we are doing some belt-tightening due to the economy, and the first place for that is entertainment, which includes:

Dates with DH
Family dinners out
Family outings

Our travel budget for this year is much smaller, too. Last year as a family we went to Ireland, DD#1 went to Spain with her school, and DH went to Spain on his own for a wedding. This year we'll be taking a vacation we can *drive* to, and no one is flying anywhere for fun.

I voted entertainment but this is what I've cut out monthly (not to reduce debt, but because I stopped getting child support and our income was therefore reduced by $500/mo.):

Weight Watchers - $40

Reserved parking at public transportation - $42

Gym membership - $24

Satellite (reduced package) - $15

Grocery budget - $40

DDs Club Penguin online account - $6

Gas (only because gas prices went down) - $40

Plus I've cut out buying extra "stuff" when I go to Target, Walmart, etc.

Like others I have cut back a little in many areas. The only area I have not cut back in is housing. DH and I just bought a house 5 months ago so we added quite a bit to our monthly payment!!

We had decided we will not take a week long vacation this coming summer - instead we are going to take the week off from work and spend time doing simple realaxin things (and some sweat equity things) around our new home.

Food -- we have cut back the last 8 months buying only what we needed month to month.
