We had our taxes done today and we will be getting about $4500 back in taxes and in addition we opted to take the $7500 new homeowner, intrest free line of credit I mentioned in an earlier post.

Yes, you can yourself say that is a nice dent!!

I would totally consider it a snowflake, but then again, I consider any amount I pay down on my credit a snowflake because I budget every dollar. If I did not, I would have extra money to snowflake, but with everything in a budget and earmarked, I will spend to those amounts.
For instance if my grocery budget is $75 a week, I will spent the entire $75 or roll that to the next week - it will not go on debt, as that is figured into my budget as well. If you begin to think this way, the setbacks don't hit you quite as hard either. When the kids have something at school we need food for, my grocery budget does not go out of whack, I have money there for it. Now if it gets too large an extra amount, I would adjust that category downward to make it more in line with actual spending.

Good job with the refund and playing it out. Nice E-fund as well.

So NO credit cards in your wallet now, right?????
