and ordered home internet service without a home phone.

I've been using my city's free wi-fi service until they changed the access points to favor the lower-income areas. I was so upset and the lady I wrote to about this was extremely rude to me. Our condo has free wi-fi in the common areas, but I'm tired of having to go down to the community room everytime I want to use the internet. If I work from home, I can't guarantee I'll have access to it since many ppl reserve it for private parties.

So, I went ahead and ordered it a couple of weeks ago. The kit should arrive today.

Hey Prada,

If you are doing work from home is there any chance your company will cover it? I know when I worked from home my company covered the whole thing. Can't hurt to ask.

Hey, Bex.

Actually, the work from home I'm speaking of is my side business. Although I don't have clients yet, a co-worker of mine at my regular job has got a great opportunity for me to take up her side work with her previous company. She's passing the torch so to speak.

My day job has stopped reimbursing me for my blackberry (and everyone else), they are putting in place for our group a work from home policy that only allows us to work from home once a quarter and no, they do not reimburse for working from home. They don't reimburse for much of anything around here or pay for anything around here.

It's a bad time right now, and I really, really, really hate this company and what it has become. The ppl in charge are extremely political in how they bestow "favors" to certain ppl. There is a lot of favoritism that goes on as well. I could elaborate, but it just makes me angry. So, I won't!

I was really hoping to hear back from the company I phone interviewed with a couple of weeks ago. They said it would be two weeks before the hiring manager probably got around to reviewing my resume and writing samples. I'll give it another week before I give up on that one.

You could use your Blackberry as a modem, instead of getting an additional service.

Well, I tried to use my Blackberry as a modem. It just didn't work. It would go to authenticating and authenticate forever. The internet service I ordered is w/o home phone service and you can also use it in wi-fi spots. The cost was $37.45/mo. So, it's not too, too bad.

You're right. Once I get incorporated, I will definitely write off my internet use.

You don't even need to be incorporated, if you use the interent for business, you can write it off.

I teach as an adjunct faculty member, that internet use is tax deductible.
