A Web site featuring Nadya Suleman's new octuplets is collecting donations for the 33-year-old mother and her 14 children. The single and unemployed mom's situation has sparked widespread controversy.

Your thoughts?

"Should we take away all her children?"

I absolutely 'meant' nothing of the sort. I said...let's give this mother a little bit of a chance and see what happens. Let's not automatically just take away her children, because no matter how wonderful the foster family or the foster care system is, it will still be traumatic for the children. All I'm saying is give the damn woman a chance. One small chance. Stop jumping all over her...She just gave birth to 8 children! Give her a second to recoup! And don't jump on me either. I try to be in people's shoes. I try to see the other side and I do that with everything, even my husband when we fight. It works quite well. I obviously didn't mean to slap anyone in the face. No one comes on here to purposely bash people or make people feel bad so it often makes me upset when my comments are taken that way. I am never a mean person, even to the point of trying to give this woman the benefit of the doubt. And what I said about foster care (in a few different posts) is that I can't imagine another person loving my children as much as I do. No matter how nice people are, or how caring, nothing replaces a mother. Even children who have crappy, drug addicted mothers, still want to be with their mother.

I agree with everything you said...but I would hope that they would find a family that would take in all the children. At least keep all the octuplets together. As twins, they will have a special bond. I can't imagine separating them and at the same time I can't imagine anyone wanting to take on all 8 babies, let alone all 14 children. This whole situation is a mess!

Abbie,

This is clearly a "hot-button" issue for you.

Whew...I'm tired of this conversation! And I didn't mean to give the impression that I'm going to personally donate to her...I'm not. I just feel really badly for her because no matter what her choices were, I don't believe they deserve death threats. I don't imagine she thought that by having 8 babies, she'd make the entire world hate her.

Not in a million years! To think that woman was so selfish to begin with and now she wants the public to support her more than we already do! What nerve. I think the doctor that impregnated her should be held financially responsible.
