are you all including your mortgages in the totals as well? Anyone mind giving me an idea of what I should include when calculating my totals? TIA

most just do credit cards and student loans and cars

I just have credit card debt. I don't do my mortgage it would be to big of a figure for us.

To depressing.

But you should do what you think is good for you. But I would not count a mortgage until I get down to just that mortgage.

Mine does NOT include my mortgage. I'm a Dave fan and my logic follows his. The debt in my ticker is of the everything-but variety (although we don't owe on CCs). Once I pay that off we'll pack a punch with a big EF with a few months' living expenses before hitting retirement, college, and the mortgage (not necessarily in that order).
