Shopping in thrift stores is great fun. I have to curb my impulses once I get started. I actually buy all my clothes there, except socks, shoes, undergarments, and swimsuits. I found a beautiful (practically new) Crabtree and Evelyn pajama set there that would sell for $85 and I'm sitting here wearing Abercrombie and Fitch jeans and a Tommy Hilfiger sweater! Believe me, I'd never pay full price for this stuff, even if I did have it!
Great to hear you had a fun Valentine's Day. You're lucky to be so close to family.
Sorry I have been so scarce the last week or so. I have been trying to make some healthy changes in my life and they have taken a lot of my brain power! I have started back to yoga. While this adds some cost to my budget it comes from cash that I have for the week for me, instead of going out to eat, or buying a new thing I have been heading to the hot sweaty kind of yoga - power yoga or vinyasa flow yoga. Honestly I have to do something to make myself feel healthier I just feel so sluggish and blah these days.
In addition I have been trying to eat much healthier and this is where more planning and brain power come in. Also it is frustrating that some of the healthier foods are so gosh darn expensive. It is important to me to eat fresh foods and part of the new regime is not be eating processed foods.
Financially I have been doing OK. We are waiting for our tax refund to hit our account so we can pay down some cc debt - should be able to do about a $4500-$6,000 dent in that.
Ha Ha I just realized that today is MONDAY and not Sunday.....better late than never! I am just glad to have the day off!
