Dear Jax,
Sending you a hug, and hoping things turn around for you soon!
I'm sorry that you are going through this! It sounds so stressful:( The one thing that sounds excellent though is that you will have a F/T job in a little over a month. Can you maybe use this free time as a gift to yourself, to relax or spend time doing something you will no longer have the time to do when you go back to work f/t? I know that may be hard, but time will go by super fast!
I can relate to anxiety about finances....my dh's job is up in the air as they consider outsourcing to save a few bucks:( He is the primary breadwinner and my income would barely cover us "bare bones", if you will....so that really just stinks. He has put in for another job that would be closer to home, but is almost a $25,000 a year pay cut!!
Such is life.
I hope things turn around soon,
Take care

Hang in there Jax, you are doing everything right. You have the efund for this very reason . . . to pay the bills when life spits in your face!! If you are going back to fulltime work in 4-6 weeks (can I assume you will be making what you did before?) then you can focus on replenishing the efund as a priority!
You can do this! It will get better!

Thank you all for the hugs!
Thanks Norma!
Is it possible to get some of your meds as samples from your doctor? I have done that on occasion. I have even gotten samples from a walk in clinic once when I had went to visit my parents and forgot to bring one of my prescriptions.

Jax,
Let's focus on the positive...
You'll have fulltime employment again in a short time, right? Try and think of things you might be able to do until then...
Do you have anything you could sell? You may not make a lot of money, but.. hey.. every little bit would help. How about any old jewelry? I know buying of old jewelry is HUGE in this area right now. It may only net you $30 or $40, but it's that much more than you have now!
Have you considered calling your finance company and asking them if they'll defer a payment for you? It would get you through this month and perhaps you could put that money towards something else to ease the budget a little this month.
I know how hard it is to stay positive when you simply don't know where the money will come from -- but just keep thinking about your fulltime job!
I can (and will if I remember) ask her at my next appointment in 2 weeks -- the worse she can say is "no".
And then, Dh added a bit to my (our) worries this evening.
