Okay, so full disclosure: When I gained weight over Christmas I split two (that right . . . TWO) pairs of jeans. Not to mention the two buttons that went flying off of my work pants (I almost took out our admin assistance with projectile buttons!!!). I can live without the work pants because I have enough and its starting to get warmer so I can switch to skirts and dresses . . . the jeans however are a necessity! I only had one pair.

Anyways, I had budgeted in $100 for new jeans next week (excessive, I know, but I was going to try and get a few pairs). On Saturday my mom and I stopped at goodwill and got a pair for $7!!!! They are not brand new, but they are in better shape then

Doesn't that feel good when you get a deal? My sister recently lost like 4 pant sizes so she is going to give me all of her jeans and some old shirts. I'm jealous that she lost all that wait, but I am also happy that I am getting some pretty nice clothes for nothing.

Back to the jeans, when Goody's Family Clothing was going out of business, I purchase one more pair of the Comfort stretch Lee jeans, Love THEM! That made me three pair. I have three others, but the length drew up so bad when I washed them, I only wear two of them in the summer with sandals. They look like flood pants! One pair of the old Lee's was longer, faded and very comfortable. But now they are ripping around the pockets. I'm going to try to find a way to mend them, so when I bend over you don't see what color of panties I have on :o) (Might consider an iron patch inside, if they would stay.)

You could always add a band of colourful fabric or lace to the bottom of your jeans to make them long enough. An iron on patch should work fine inside your jeans to repair them. Just make sure to round the corners before ironing them on, it will help to keep them from lifting with washing and wearing.

Thrift stores are my favourite places to shop. I have found some great deals on clothes that way. And usually if you go near the end of season they have 50% off and bag sales that you can really get some good deals with.

Yes, love to get cheap jeans! My sister is constantly cleaning out her closet too. I really don't spend a lot of money on clothes! it is probably time to go back there and get something different. Clothing parties are fun too with your friends where you just throw everything you don't want into a pile and everyone can try things on. Its fun too!
