Let's all list a money saving tip or two for everyone to share. We all have such different ideas of where to scale back on our budgets. Bet a tip or two can help someone else out!

I'll start: GOOGLE! Whenever I'm planning on going out to eat I always google the name of the restaurant and the word COUPON. Most times than not I get coupons for free appetizers or two for one meals.

Also: TRY generic. 9 times out of 10 I have found it makes no difference in taste but a huge difference in price.

If I order something online (which isn't often, but sometimes a birthday gift or a few things at Christmas) I always try to find a discount code or free shipping offers.

The snowflaking is a money saver. Not only does it quicken your debt reduction but the faster you pay it off, the less you pay in interest. Such a good deal!

If there is a good deal on bread I often buy more and freeze it. It is fine coming out of the freezer and can save your butt if you need to make sandwiches and you forgot to pick some up on the way home. If there are a few pieces of bread left over that are going stale I will make bread crumbs and again stick them in the freezer for hamburgers etc. Good time saver too and less waste.

I use my airmiles and other points for gift cards for presents. One of my favourite tricks was for weddings. My points give me HBC gift cards (the Bay is a big department store in Canada) where most weddings would register. I redeem 2 x $25 gift cards and then compare the registry to the sales. Every week something would be on sale for 30-50% off. So generally I would buy a gift that was normally $100 and get it for nothing! The bride and groom don't know what I paid . . . they just know whats its regular price is (thats what is listed on the registry!!!)
