Yikes . . . signed up for 10k race!

Well, in the spirit of being accountable in all aspects of my life, I am putting it out there . . . I signed up for my first 10k race! I am so nervous. When I first started running I could only do about 2 minutes (literally, two minutes and I was done). Now I am up to 5k (45 minutes). I have to double this. So I am admitting it here in order to gain accountability (and risk a public i-village shaming if I get lazy, lol).
The worst part of this whole stupid thing is that BF is a triathlete who is a certified coach. So far I won't let him coach me . .

All my best,
Danni
That's great.
Oh good for you! I want to start running again when the weather gets nicer and the ice goes away. I am just not having any luck with my eating habits. I am so depressed about it. You motivate me because you sound so positive all the time. And my bf is in really good shape too! So lots in common. Good luck!
Yahooo BEX!

Holy goodness . . . under 30 minutes is AMAZING for a 5k! Thats a great pace! I am currently running 5K in about 45 min so I appreciate how fast that is, lol.
Thanks for the support. I know I can do this. I just have to suck it up and get it done!
On a happy note, I have hit 20% of my total donations (since I am running for Team Diabetes I have to collect donations). It probably wasn't the smartest idea adding that added stress on to my first race, but go big or go home . . . right??? lol
