You know, I have been thinking about that for a bit and I keep going back and forth on it. Part of me wants to dump the $450 in there and be done with it, but part of me wants to get the CC below $1000 for the first time in two and a half years (holy crap thats long).

I decided to send it all to the CC and continue increasing my efund savings the way I have been (slowly but surely). I set up an autmatic transfer to the efund starting next week which will help increase it automatically. I also have several other little efunds for things like car, home, pets, copays etc. so the efund I have is for things above and beyond those. If I do it this way, then as of April 1 (when my rent money comes in) I will be debt free!!!! I know in my head that $450 won't make a huge difference and no matter which way I do it, I will be debt free by May, but its just a mind set really.

I don't know if this even makes sense . .

Oh I'm so happy for you. Two goals met with in a couple of months! This is YOUR year. If it is only a matter of a month, you should decide what you want to do and do it!!

Yep Bex it makes perfect sense to me and I would most likely do the same thing. ;)

My EFund is only a bit over $700 right now, but I am pushing more against CC debt right now, as I know it makes my balance sheet get down faster. I also have $50 going in automatically a month, and I put an additional $50 in, so I am putting $100 in Efund a month.

If I had less than $500 in there, Efund would then be my priority.

I have DH more on board now, and we are home tonight watching a movie, no more dinners out for a while. But we went "out for dinner" on vacation every day for 9 days, so if we are allocated a dinner out every 10 day, that means we don't get one for 90 days! And when we do get one, it better be good!

That's great Bex!

I just got my refund on Friday and made another payment on my card (just updated my ticker).

Congratulations Kate! You are Soooo close! What are you going to do the first paycheck AFTER you have paid of all your debt? Anything big or small to celebrate?

I think I am going to buy new shoes. I haven't in over a year and I really need some (dog chewed up a pair this weekend actually, but its still doable because the part she chewed is hidden by my pants!!!)

After that, its savings mode so I never have to worry about being in this situation again!

Hi Bex:

I keep changing my mind on how to celebrate being debt-free.
