I went to an Oreck store and got a used, refurbished oreck for $200. They cost around $400 dollars new. My only problem with OReck's is that they don't come with the vacuum attachment which is annoying with little kids and their huge messes. I really want the Dyson ball, but I heard it's around $600!! EEK! The thing I love about the Oreck is how light it is and how easy it is to take in and out. Very space efficient!

I have a Hoover - it is made in Ohio, it is 12 years old and still works OK.

I have the Bissell Pet Vac and I love it. I have 2 cats and a dog that all shed like crazy. I think I bought it for $160 at Target.
