Savings Account Question

This is going to sound like a dumb question I am sure...but do they make savings accounts where you can have a debit card?

I will probably be shot for suggesting this, but I would apply for another credit card with a low line of credit and tuck it away for your vacation.
I bank with a Credit Union and have a checking and savings account with them. At my bank you have to have a checking account in order to have a Debit Mastercard with them. I use the Debit Mastercard to book hotels (which I just did for hubby for the weekend)I can use it at restaurant as a debit or a credit, at the grocery store and to rent a car. As far as I know you need to have a checking account as well as a savings account to apply for one. Just a thought, why don't you just sign up for a debit Mastercard with your same bank and just put the money away in a savings account and then apply it to your checking account when the time comes for you to take your trip. I am doing this at the moment for a trip to Jamestown Virginia at Thanksgiving. As far as a car rental, using a debit Mastercard the rental agency will hold funds on your checking account until the car is returned. I am not sure there is some kind of a credit card used just off of savings that you could use to do some of the things that I just mentioned. Maybe others know of such a thing.
Good success with finding out your answer!

My debit card that I have is a mastercard logo and it is with my checking account - and I use it for everything...seriously - I hardly ever carry cash - but I was just concerned about the "hold" that you were talking about them putting on it.
We have at our credit union something that
I have a debit card with a visa logo on it,
At the credit union I currently belong to, I have a checking account with the VISA logo debit card.
