As many of you know, I am divorced from my daughter's father.

Ski, do I remember you saying in one of your posts that you live in Michigan?

What I would do is, and you don't necessarily have to have an attorney to do this, but you can get one.

Hugs to you. Sounds like you are doing all the right things for your daughter.

I would flat out ASK him for the money. Just say to him that you would like if he could split or pay for her sporting event. The worst he can do is say no and then what do you have to lose?

I agree with PP. Ask him and see what he says. If he says no, well then maybe follow the PP's advice. I am not familiar with spousal support etc. All I can do is offer ((((hugs)))) and good thoughts!

Thanks for the input, I did write the Friend of the Court for medical payments, but because I don't get Child Support, I am not in their system and they cannot help, I would have to refile and take him back to court - again probably $1000 in court costs.

I will take your advice and ask him for the sports fee.

Ask him.

That does sound great on the surface, have him pay at the time of the divorce.

One should never mix child support and visitation.

Never factor as convenient.
