Boo to Citicards

A few months Citicards decided to send me paper statements instead of online statements (I wasn't happy about it) and now, I just went online to pay my bill and in big bright red wording, it says that they will no longer be accepting online payments for my account. WTH I am so mad! Now I have to make sure I send it to them through my bank and have it post at least 1 week ahead of time.

That STINKS!

That's why I like my Citi account, because of their stellar online features.

I'd be searching high and low for a new cc company if they try that with me.

Does your bank offer bill pay?

You could do it the back way and have the bank give them the money instead of sending it directly to them via their web site.

I agree, I think they are trying to "bilk" consumers out of late fees to pump up their portfolio.

I received a notice via email that I would start receiving statements by mail.

I just paid our Citi a week or so ago and they had me to sign up to do so because it was my first time but they took it just fine and sent me a nice email saying thanks for signing up to pay on line.

Maybe they have your account flagged for some reason. Another thing when I did call them to check on my balance they said we had an offer of 3.9 on the table for money transfers I ask if they could sent the money to my checking account and they said no had to be to another credit card. I told the lady I really needed it for my checking account.

I really do believe that they are playing games with people and it is so easy to miss a little notice in your bill in tiny writing (the law should make them change the size of the writing on those notices) that tells you the interest rate is going up if you don't "opt out".

I thought you all may find this interesting. CNN did an article about the credit card industry.

It seems that every since the new laws were pasted that go into effect for credit cards companies in 2010, that they are trying to do every
