I have been doing some cash flow forecasting for my business lately. It really looks kinda crumby in about 4 weeks. If sales don't pick up significantly I may very well have to dip into my emergency savings so I don't go over on my business credit line. Boo!
So I am trying to take measures so I maybe don't have to like not ordering as much, being careful which bills I pay and I'm not going to pay myself on Sunday. Boo again! I still think I can make the minimum payment on my personal credit line at the beginning of April and my household obligations but it means no spending money and no snowflakes.
So, here is hoping not to back slide once again. Positive note: I do have an emergency fund for things such as this,(although I was hoping not to use it at this time of year, or at all!!) and things could pick up soon. They did last year, but that doesn't really mean anything in this economy.
I guess I will bide my time and see what happens in the next couple of weeks with my store.
Also, my bf and I are looking at a car upgrade and I originally thought if we saved enough we could get one with out a payment. That might not be true now and the thought of a payment scares me. It is really bugging me.
The weather refuses to get better and I am just feeling blah!

Oh my!
I don't know if this would work for you, because I have no idea what your business is off hand (which is either my poor reading comprehension skills or you being good about staying on-topic on the boards. heh)
Anyway, one of the companies I deal with just sent out their own "2009 Stimulus Package" ~~

You ladies are awesome! The type of store I have is a convenience store. It has gas, liquor and beer, small grocery, a coffee shop, and snacks and DVD Rentals. I don't really have a lot of options as far as price or sales. I live in a very small town and this is the only store. I recently started making my own cards to sell as another income option. It is a very difficult business to run. There are soooo many variables. The store does well. I just need to keep it running smoothly and I do of course....but like I said, it is hard. I work a lot of hours to cut down on staff hours and try to manage my credit line but I refuse to start working on reducing that credit line until my personal credit line is GONE(ticker). So one thing at a time. And I do have an emergency fund from that small inheritance I can use to help my business credit line if it gets too high. It really depends on what I pay out and what the sales are, and they can vary so much. I watch it daily and forcast 4-5 weeks(and then 6 months but that can be inaccurate) out depending on what it was last year and what I think it will be. I am pretty good at predicting it actually. Some things can be helped and some things cannot. Kinda hard to explain because there is so much involved. I have over 30 vendors. Oh and I forgot about my land and building loan that will be gone November 2010. Once that is gone I will have almost $1000 a month extra to pay things and calm my credit line down. If I could just hang on until then things would be better. But then I get frustrated when computer equipment breaks and I don't know how to fix it or maintanence issues as well. I cry those days. I have considered selling. My brain works over time sometimes.
Soooooo I don't know if you ladies can help. I was just venting. Suggestions are always welcome. The right idea might work out? Thanks for listening for sure!
Good information so far - you only have a bit over a year to go and it will all be much easier.
So lets see, imho (MBA in Marketing, so it is not coming out of my xss) you have a couple options:
1.
Your store sounds like the small stores in my town, except we're a dry county, no liquors can be sold, period, only beer.
