Kinda down today....

I have been doing some cash flow forecasting for my business lately. It really looks kinda crumby in about 4 weeks. If sales don't pick up significantly I may very well have to dip into my emergency savings so I don't go over on my business credit line. Boo!

So I am trying to take measures so I maybe don't have to like not ordering as much, being careful which bills I pay and I'm not going to pay myself on Sunday. Boo again! I still think I can make the minimum payment on my personal credit line at the beginning of April and my household obligations but it means no spending money and no snowflakes.

So, here is hoping not to back slide once again. Positive note: I do have an emergency fund for things such as this,(although I was hoping not to use it at this time of year, or at all!!) and things could pick up soon. They did last year, but that doesn't really mean anything in this economy.

I guess I will bide my time and see what happens in the next couple of weeks with my store.

Also, my bf and I are looking at a car upgrade and I originally thought if we saved enough we could get one with out a payment. That might not be true now and the thought of a payment scares me. It is really bugging me.

The weather refuses to get better and I am just feeling blah!

Oh i like the auto/in the car emergency kit. That might be a good seller in the winter.

I do watch my costs pretty close and take advantage of sales if I can afford the product.

I have a lot of novelty items. If they sell I get more, if they don't I try to blow them out. I have had good success picking these items so far.

I also do seasonal things. I feature chocolate and sparking wines for valentines for example. I had this really pretty red box and a bunch of pink and red paper I displayed it on. Sold almost all of it.

I don't do a whole lot of advertising although I do donate my gift certificates to functions around town and that does help get people in the store.

Thanks for all your suggestions!!

Oh, and one more - pick one item a week and give a $5 bonus to whatever worker sells the most of them.
