I can see how you might feel as though you've given up everything for you kids and they are leaving you in the dust :( I'm sorry. Do they live with you by any chance?


What kind of business would you like to run in the future? Have you thought about any kind of marketable skill(s) you would like to learn? I know that you are trying to get by in the moment, but sometimes trying to keep our heads above water we forget about the future since it seems impractical to consider it at the time....Maybe brainstorm and write down potential ideas for your future and how you would like it to look....then consider ways to get there. It may take a long time, maybe not...but either way, you will be working toward your own goals and will be getting one step closer every day.


From the expenses you listed, looks like monthly you may be looking at approx. 1300 - 1500/mo including food, misc. etc. Does that sound right? And you are bringing in approx. 20000/annually? So like 1200 - 1300 a month? I'm not sure...but it seems as though income is definitely not enough to cover your expenses. You may be able to lower some items such as cable/internet, auto insurance, cell phone...but I'm not sure how much this will help with the overall picture. Your mortgage payment

I was reading the posting between you and sullen. There is no one way to handle credit card companies to get them to lower your rates. I wish there was. Maybe that is why she could not give you the words that will make them go back down

In the grand scheme of things, $3000.00 is not a terrible, terrible amount of credit card debt.

Wow, that's great advice! Thanks Mary Ann! My payments are direct draft.. and I always try paying more when I can at different times... but, never heard what you told me... thank you so much!


Luckily, had auto insurance before money problems... my daughter's car is on my insurance... but, she is good about paying her part..I used to work for Allstate and think it is rediculous the way they charge people based on
