Cheer up Stacy, I know, I too hate it when we use the E fund but I have to remind myself that's what I use it for, an emergency. I have decided that 1000.00 for the fund isn't enough for me so I will work on building it up to 1500.00 this time, that way I feel we have a better cushion.

I truly know how you feel about using it though. Isn't it great though to have one, so we don't put it on a CC? It comforts me to know this and hubby is happy about it too. We have struggled so many times wondering where we would get the money to pay for things and he would turn to his Dad(which I appreciated but hated too)for the help. Now we turn to old Mr. E Fund and there are no emotional attachments to his lending nor any interest! Woo Hoo!

Thank God you had the money for the tires, you will build you E fund back up. Have a great day!

I'm so glad you had the efund there to cover it and didn't have to resort to Credit cards. I know it sucks watching it go down, but at least its there!

Hey Stacy,

I know this sucks. But I truly have less stress knowing I have an efund. What is worse for me is trying to still pay off debt while getting the efund back up. Things just seem to take forever. Just keep in mind you are not back tracking with revolving debt. That would be so much worse.
