Hi

We took Jordan for her bloodwork yesterday. (2 hour drive one way). The results are excellent. She is doing very well. They want to continue her on the meds. Apparently, the surgeon just doesn't take the animals off it. He likes to wean them off. I only had enough of one of the meds for that morning. Therefore, I had to buy more. Couldn't believe it....they sold me a whole pint of one of the meds for less that what my local vet charges me for a month supply.

Total cost for the bloodwork and one of the meds was $67.00.

We did stop by Chili's and had lunch. Can't remember how much was that. Probably another $50

I have to wait until Monday for the surgeon to call me. To instruct me how to wean her off the meds. He wasn't there yesterday. It was another surgeon that assistant him in Jordan's operation.

Got a call from the surgeon. I can take her completely off one of the meds. That's a saving of $35.00. The other one, he wants for me to continue giving to her 2x a day instead of 3. I bought this one at his hospital on Saturday. The special low protein diet (which Jordan loves) will continue for another 6 months. A 10-20 lbs. bag (can't remember) cost me $50. That last more than a month.

He wants to see her again in 2 months.
