Has anyone sold stuff to them? If so, do you make a decent amount from them? I'm thinking about Ebay-ing or Craigslisting most of the baby stuff we're done with, but taking it to OUAC would be SO much easier. Do you think it would be worth the extra hassle of auctioning it or should I try to take it there?

I would take it there and see what they offer you for it.

I took in a pair of very nice LLBean snowpants and got $3 for them.

I agree with above responder. I think they are better to buy from than sell to. I took a gorgeous Hanna Anderssen dress my daughter wore maybe twice that cost me $30 on Ebay (retailed for more than $50!) and they gave me $3. I had a perfect condition dressy Gap sweater that my son outgrew without wearing more than a couple times and they refused it because they said it was from two seasons ago. My thought was, there are lots of kids in this country and in orphanages overseas who have nothing and would be thrilled to have those clothes so I usually now just donate stuff.

Having said that when I was in there last there was a woman buying a beautiful Pottery Barn style upholstered rocker and ottoman that looked spotless. I have no idea what she paid for it but I bet even with a big mark-up it was a deal.

I didn't have good luck there either.

I haven't had good luck selling to them. There was only one time they took any of my clothes, which were all clothes from Gap and Parisian, and I only got about $20. Any other times I've tried, they either weren't taking that particular size or there weren't enough higher-end department store items that they were interested in, so I just gave up.

I sell my clothes at my Mother of Twins semi-annual consignment sale now. There are a bunch of places around here that offer semi-annual consignment sales, including my La Leche League chapter and a couple of churches, and I always come out ahead selling more than I buy.Bridget

Thanks. That's kind of what I suspected because you can buy things so cheaply there they wouldn't give you much. The one closest to us is kind of out of the way and if they're that picky I don't think I'll bother. I was thinking of it more for toys and other big stuff, not so much clothes.
