Good luck on the job front. If that doesn't work, are you going to get another part time job to make the parts a whole? What about selling something you don't need to save or pay off some more debt? Could you take this time of working less to plan meals more carefully around sales to spend less money on groceries? Good luck!

Welcome to this forum. Here you will find the support you need. It sounds to me as if you are off to a good start. I am a Dave Ramsey fan and work at following his advice. Hubby and I have student loan debt as well and also have a small shovel with a big hole. We can do it!

Keep coming here for support and advice and there will always be someone here to lend an ear.

Take it one bill at a time and one day at a time!

Thanks for all the kind responses.

I absolutely will be getting a second part-time job if I find out that I did not get the new job.

Have you considered calling your student loan people and asking if you can set up longer term payments for now?

If you can play that much, you can work that much, let me assure you.

I'm definitely willing to work my tail off.
