I'm looking at spring/summer looming ahead.

What kind of expenses does everyone forsee looking in the next few months?

I find looking forward makes me keep in check with my budget. Just thought I'd make it a topic for discussion !

Well for me, my DH is getting a good overtime check this week. I hope to put $1,000 on our c/c ! Great snowball if you ask me!

I would also like to use some of the overtime for a few household things.

1. Ceiling fan for our kitchen - $60

2. Pool passes for family for summer - $140

3. Kids need sandals - $20 (this can come out of our family monthly budget.)

4. I'd LIKE a new swimsuit.

All I have to say is UGH!

I don't want to think about it (but have to!)

Where to start . . . stuff for the yard (bags, tools, mulch) probably about $250

Deck repair (need to take off the paint and reseal it, do some minor repairs) $250

New light fixture for the dining room: $100

Hitch for the SUV so we can tow: $500 installed

Shed for the yard: $750

Courses for school: $1500

Obviously this isn't going to happen all at one time. I need to prioritize here!!! I will be getting a pretty decent back pay (probably in the area of $1500 or so) which will help with a lot of it. My new job will pay $250 more a pay so that will help too! I really want to get the outside of the house looking nice. Friday is going to be an amazing day so I am hoping to start then!

Some of our spring/summer expenses will include the following:

a wedding gift for my niece in July
fixing the back fence
replace toilet in one of the bathrooms
kids sandals
dress clothes for my 3 kids for said wedding in July
oil changes for DH car as his doing it at home isn't working properly the way the car is set up.

I have no money values behind them as I have no idea what they could possibly cost except for the fence and toilet which would be about $700 for both. If it all works out, this will be an expensive summer/spring for us. But we have lived in this house for 6 years and not really put one penny into it like we should have been all along.

We spend a lot of time up at the cabin in the summer, so our biggest expense is gasoline - for jet skis, ski boats, fishing boats and our pontoon.

1. Swimming lessons $100(I hope they get in, I have been calling and the rec club is not answering.
2. The rest of the camp fees $290. I got my boys into one whole camp for free!! but have to pay the balance of the other camp as I have paid the deposit already. The boys love it, I might get half from my ex, and I will claim it on my taxes as a child care expense. It is just a win win situation.
3. I would like to do a day trip to the museum this summer. We will bring our own lunch. Not sure on cost $100?
4. I would like to get bikes, I might have a line on some used ones not sure yet on new cost or used.
5. I would like to do an overnight in a hotel with my sister and our kids with a pool. Cost?150-200?
6. I will need some garden seeds and a few plants $150. The Bf will help with this if he wants fresh veges hehehehe
7. Oh its mother's day soon isn't it. I have some avon stuff to give and few Christmas lotions and bath products I can regift!

Other than that I have no idea. LOL! Probably increased beer consumption

DS getting married on May 2 out of town. Hotel room for two nights ($234), rehearsal dinner ($900+), wedding gift ($100).

DD graduating from college a week later, and her birthday 3 days after that. Party ($200), grad gift ($100), b-day gift ($50).

As soon as she graduates, she comes off my health care insurance, so I'll have to pay COBRA until she gets a job.
